You were told wrong. Any accounts that are till on your credit report effect your score.

Credit repair service only work for the credit repair company. They get your money and there is very little they can do for you that you cannot do for yourself.

If you paid off your old accounts, leave them there. Check your report and make sure that they show as paid in full.

If you have a bankruptcy, that information stays on your record for up to 10 years, but the impact of the bankruptcy decreases over time.

From what I have read about them, they can help. They however do not have the ability to do anything that you cannot own your own. All they can do is ask for things to be removed for you, but they cannot force them to remove anything from your report that has been legitimately reported. Basically you would be paying to have someone send letters for you and you can probably find templates for the letter free online.

You are entitled to a free annual credit report from each of the three credit bureaus. You can access those free reports thru AnnualCreditReport.com. Reports are free; scores are not.

I know if you add music to a video and stick it on youtube, they'll remove all of the sound if it's from a musician from certain record companies. I can't get anything to upload anymore on there due to copyright laws.

I think you have to have permission based on what i have heard but of course you can use it just risk getting sued! lol
