Credit Repair Companies

I want to buy a house and my credit is horrible. I know I can fix my credit myself, but I am so frustrated and drained from trying. I am thinking about hiring a credit repair company to help me, but when I look for reviews they are all linked to the companys actual website and I want honest user reviews instead of company propoganda. Has anyone used a credit repair service and how did it work for you? Did it raise your credit score enough to justify the fees they charge?

I went to several credit repair companies (Lex Law and some other hole in the wall) and hated them both (rip-offs). I am worse off now, then I was before I went to those scammers! I was wondering is anyone can suggest a good solid downloadable credit repair book that is under $20 or so…I will go $50 if it is worth it. I read a review on the Credit Restoration Cheat Sheet System on the web. do you think it is worth buying?

I would like to sit with someone and have them review my credit reports and give me advice on how to improve my credit score. I went to a credit counseling place and they just wanted money. Would like to buy a home soon. Is there anywhere I can go ?

If anyone says freecreditreport.com I will thumbs down you! lol. Anyway, I looking for a good, decently priced credit monitoring service, preferrably one that will give tips and advice as how to repair and handle credit so that I can get my score to where I want it to be.

Any suggestions? Recommendations? I was checking out equifax and was looking for some non-biased reviews.

I have a couple of unsecured loans that were opened 8/1/2001 and 1 automobile loan that was opened 2/1/2001 and by law should have automatically dropped off of my credit reports after 7 years. They have not came off still and I just learned that because I disputed these as being wrong a few months ago and the creditors updated them as correct. Because of this it starts the whole 7 years over again. A credit repair place over the phone told me that whenever you dispute something and they report back that its correct or reviewed and updated that it will start the whole 7 year process over again. Is this true??

I sent a letter to a collection agent and they have sent me a accept letter and i was just needing to know if it would work to dispute with credit agencies if the try to back out i will write below what it says.

We recently received your proposed offer to pay the above referenced account. after a thorough review of your account, ___ has made the decision to accept your payment in the amount of $x to clear your derogatory information. upon receipt and posting of the $x to your account the delinquent information will be remove from the credit bureau.

Does this sound good my agreement was to delete the account from the credit bureau for payment, i have never done this before and was wanting some opinions and advice also the did not sign there letter but it has the company name on it should i request a signed one are will this work?

I ACTUALLY SETTLED FOR THE CHARGE ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND WHEN I WAS REVIEWING MY CREDIT REPORT I NOTICED THAT THE ACTUAL CREDIT CARD COMPANY HAD IT ON MY REPORT TOO. I SETTLED WITH THE COLLECTION AGENCY. WELL I ALREADY SENT THE LETTERS TO ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS ABOUT THE ERROR. MY QUESTION IS, HOW LONG BEFORE MY CREDIT SCORE INCREASES B/C OF THIS ERROR ONCE THE DUPLICATE HAS BEEN DELETED? AND BY HOW MUCH? ONE MORE QUESTION PLEASE(I'M TRYING TO REPAIR MY CREDIT) HOW DO I CHANE THE PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ON THE CREDIT REPORTS. THEY SHOW A JOB I HAD IN 2004. I'VE BEEN WITH A BETTER AND HIGHER PAYING COMPANY SINCE 2005.
THE AMOUNT OF THE CHARGE IS $820.00. DOES IT MAKE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE ON YOUR SCORE WHEN IT IS DELETED?

There are lots of websites and books claiming to teach you all the tricks about being able to fix your credit…I've read mixed reviews. I do realize that many people believe that credit repair specialists are scam artists and that many can do it themselves, but still, I'm interested in the field. Are there actual classes or schooling that I can do? Do I need any kind of certification in Los Angeles? How do I begin? What credit repair kit or kits do the professionals use for thorough credit repair fixes including but not limited to removing chexs system? Where do they get their experience? Does anyone know of any mlm credit repair agencies? I am wishing to open up a credit repair agency with my husband in the future, but we would like to be certain that we know all the ins and outs as much as possible.

Any info. will be very helpful and greatly appreciated.

Need some help in this regards & have done research on them, but looking for more info & positive/negative reviews of them

I have a case filed in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The lawyer that I did have told me I should recieve a settlement of no less than around 500k. I decided to pay hourly instead of 40% of any settlement. After paying into the thousands he quit me over the phone after waiting 7 months and 2 weeks before depositions. He is currently under review by the Arkansas Supreme Court. The case is against a billion dollar company Snap-on Tools Inc.
I was promised a franchise 4 different times. I spent thousands to repair credit and raise scores to quilify for franchises. I can show harrassment from company. My life since I filed law suit has been turned upside down not to say Snap-on has anything to do with my dismay. I will take a lie detection test at any time to ensure all I say is true.
