I have never owned a credit card, but I realize the benefits of having one and maintaining a good score. Also, I will need one when I start looking for apartments of my own. Does anyone know which companies offer credit cards with low interest rates with possible benefits to college/university students?

I paid off 3 of my 5 credit cards last year and this year the last 2 should be taken care of with taxes. I also plan to start paying on other debts I have. My credit score is terrible at the moment so I am wondering what I can do to help raise it and also wondering how long would it take it get up to the good to great rating
I don't use credit cards to make large purchases a lot. What's ideal credit limit line to have a good credit score? I was told that the higher your credit limit the more "at risk" you'll be in the eye of creditors, and that's not good for your credit score. Would it be $5K, $10K, $20K or other?

I've tried twice in the last year to get another credit card as unhappy with current credit provider, however on both occasions I have been rejected, the reason being as a result of my credit check. I have looked at my Experian report etc and my credit score has either been good or excellent.

I just pulled my credit score today and it's 658 is that good enough to get a home loan?
